This film wraps up with a happy ending…but it doesn’t feel contrived. Unlike the happier tones of Shree 420 and Awaara, where Raj plays the tramp, this film feels very Hitchcock-esque…lots of interesting camera angles/effects being used, eerie music, a dark theme overall. Watched this last night and can definitely agree with the sentiments above…certainly not a waste of time, but not one of my favorites, either.
